Desert life.

There's nothing like the mystique of the desert to start the year right. We rang in 2016 in Palm Springs, and despite the Rattle Snake sign warnings, we saw none. Of course, it's chilly for those cold-blooded buggers and they hide during the "winter" months in southern California. Still, it's enough to cause one to pause. Everywhere you turn there are so many things to inspire. Life has a way of perpetuating itself, even in the driest, roughest terrain. Out of nowhere, a spindly little plant emerges from dust. For me, it's affirmation that no matter how difficult the struggle, we can prevail. A good thought moving into 2016.
